We are seeking candidates with trustee or board experience who are committed to our values and to supporting young people in the community. Applicants should have an understanding of the issues facing young people today, as well as the opportunities and challenges within the third-sector landscape.
The most important qualities we look for in new trustees include a willingness to ask thoughtful questions, a strong alignment with our values of equality, transparency, and community, and the ability to commit time to the role.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in HR, the charitable/third sector, marketing, or fundraising.
Annual duties include attending five board meetings and two informal meetings with board members, contributing to a sub-group that meets four times per year, and participating in two development days with staff and trustees.
Starpic Project is a SCIO, supported by a dedicated team of trustees who oversee the charity’s governance.
Our activities are delivered by a mix of volunteers and paid sessional workers, many of whom generously give additional hours
each week to ensure our programmes are successful for the young people we support.
We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers, whose commitment allows the project to run smoothly.
Their contributions are invaluable—helping with organisation, planning social events such as the Christmas party
and activity weeks, assisting with supermarket bag packing, and supporting a range of other fundraising activities.
We welcome anyone who would like to volunteer and help contribute to the ongoing success of the project.
